FAQ

What is a discovery call?

A discovery call is a complementary consultation to determine if we are a good fit and how we can work together depending on your personal goals and needs. During the call, you will tell me what is going on as well as ask me any questions you may have regarding therapy and my style. If we happen to not be a good fit, no problem! I will support you in finding other therapists and share some resources with you. Therapy is not one size fits all, and that’s great!

we’re good match, what happens next?

I will send you some necessary forms prior to our first session via a secure platform, including informed consent, other legal paperwork and assessments. The first session will focus on obtaining more information about you, what brings you to therapy, getting to know each other and collaboratively identifying some goals you want for yourself. Then, we will schedule our upcoming sessions where the inner work happens. For better results, it’s mostly recommended we meet at least once a week.

how long is a therapy session?

It depends. Most individual sessions are 50 minutes long, and couples and family sessions are 60 minutes long. I can also offer 75 minute sessions upon request depending on necessity and availability.

What are the fees for therapy?

The fee for an individual session is $150 and couple/family session is $180. Payments may be made by credit card or check and are due at the beginning of session. If you’d like to leave your credit card on file, I use a secure electronic health record which payments can be made automatically at the end of each session. Cancellations must be made 24 hours in advance to avoid being charged for the session.

do you take insurance?

I am currently taking the following insurances: Aetna, United Healthcare, Optum, Oscar Health and Oxford. If you have PPO, I am able to provide a billing statement (Superbill), and your insurance may cover the fees for an “out of network” provider. You are responsible for your fees even if the insurance denies your claim, so it is important to understand your insurance coverages and eligible expenses. If you have any questions about this, I am happy to walk you through it!

Do you have more questions regarding my practice or the therapeutic process? please do not hesitate to contact me directly. i will be more than happy to answer any questions you may have.

I KNOW THERAPY MAY FEEL INTIMIDATING FOR THOSE STARTING IT FOR THE FIRST TIME OR EVEN FOR THOSE GOING THROUGH A NEW SEASON OF LIFE. EITHER WAY, I AM HERE FOR YOU.
